The Pioneer brand has an interesting history, dating back to the Klondike Gold Rush. The name was first used on outdoor equipment being used by the many thousands of Sourdough's travelling through Vancouver on their way north to the Yukon.
In 1912 the Pioneer brand was developed to include a range of outdoor sporting goods to equip those interested in big game hunting, for which British Columbia had a worldwide reputation.
During the 1st World War many Canadian troops carried Pioneer knapsacks and during this time the Wool Mackinaw Jacket first appeared on the scene.
During the 1920's and 1930's, a wider range of recreational and industrial rainwear was manufactured which was
used extensively by the logging and mining industries as well as outdoor enthusiast. Even Pioneer skis were manufactured.
Since 1887 the "Pioneer" brand has grown and developed with Vancouver sharing in the "City's" pride and being
part of it. Our moderately priced and varied selection of rainwear and outerwear is being sold across Canada.
Pioneer brand will aways signify quality and reasonable prices, backed up with good service and warranties.
